JANESVILLE, WI—HealthNet of Rock County is announcing the receipt of funding support from the United Way Blackhawk Region from July 2023 to June 2025 through the United Way Funded Partner Program. The total for the two-year funding period is $225,723 to help support the Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health clinics within HealthNet.
HealthNet has been providing services to the residents of Rock County since 1994 and has recently relocated all services to a new location at 113 S. Franklin St. in Janesville which allowed for expanding clinics and services. The Behavioral Health clinic is the newest program as of October, 2022. HealthNet’s focus is to provide much needed comprehensive services to those in Rock County who are underinsured or uninsured.
HealthNet of Rock County Co-Interim CEOs, Cori Tucker and Kristin Austin, collaboratively say:
“This funding from United Way Blackhawk Region will again help support the departments within HealthNet. The much-needed medical services for the uninsured include chiropractic care, in-house labs, exams, and medications from the dispensary. Dental visits provide treatment for preventive care, fillings and extractions, crowns and dentures, and a specialized care focus for those with developmental or physical disabilities. The behavioral health department care plans include individual and group services, service navigation for identified socioeconomic needs, and Medication Assisted Treatment. Support such as this helps cover the shortfall in Medicaid reimbursement and low-cost alternative payments for those with Medicare or are uninsured. We are extremely thankful for this support from United Way to help continue our mission for our patients and clients.”
