
Mercyhealth is pleased to announce it will now offer behavioral health services at HealthNet of Rock County. Three Mercyhealth providers will begin seeing patients at HealthNet, ensuring greater access to critical mental health care for those in need.
The expanded collaboration between Mercyhealth and HealthNet aligns with both organizations’ ongoing efforts to improve access to health care services for underserved populations. The addition of Mercyhealth behavioral health providers will allow HealthNet to serve more patients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health conditions. They will also offer support groups for the following:
- Trauma
- Relapse prevention
- Pregnancy and infant loss
Additional monetary commitment
In addition to other funds that Mercyhealth donates to HealthNet annually, the philanthropic arm of Mercyhealth has committed to providing an additional $100,000 each year to HealthNet for the next three years. This meaningful gift will futher strengthen the nonprofit’s ability to continue their important work.

Mercyhealth has been a proud partner of HealthNet for many years, working hand-in-hand to improve the health and well-being of the area’s uninsured and underinsured residents. As part of this partnership, a Mercyhealth family medicine physician and faculty member of the Mercyhealth Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Janet Barkhou, serves as HealthNet’s medical advisor. She is instrumental in engaging Mercyhealth resident physicians, who provide care to HealthNet patients. In addition, other Mercyhealth medical providers and staff volunteer their time and talents as well.
Mercyhealth’s commitment to improving health outcomes extends beyond hospital and clinic walls, supporting initiatives that enhance the well-being of Rock County residents.
