ABOUT US

HealthNet of Rock County is a free and charitable clinic serving Rock County individuals who are low-income, uninsured, or underinsured for medical, dental, vision and behavioral health services. HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. opened in 1994 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization through the result of a needs assessment that identified a lack of affordable healthcare as one of the major problems in Rock County.

HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. seeks a driven, motivated full-time General Dentist (32 hours per week) who will help the organization make a significant difference in the community. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills with an interest in providing high-quality personalized care to patients in a community-based care setting.

The HealthNet Dental Clinic provides cleanings, fillings, extractions, and in some cases, specialty services. At this time, HealthNet of Rock County’s dental clinic sees patients who reside in Rock County. The dental clinic accepts uninsured and BadgerCare patients.

OPPORTUNITY

  • The Dental Clinic is also staffed by experienced volunteer dentists, dental assistants,dental hygienists, front desk staff, and a dental clinic manager.
  • HealthNet utilizes OpenDental EHR software and XDR Digital Sensors are used for x-rays
  • Flexible clinic scheduling available

  • New modern facility will be built at 113 S. Franklin Street in Janesville, WI

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in general dentistry; safety-net clinic experience (a plus, but not required)
  • DDS (licensure in Wisconsin by July/August, 2022)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $92.00 – $100.00 per hour

Reports to: Behavioral Clinic Manager

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
  • The employee shall meet the requirements of the Wisconsin Board of Nursing; and be licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) without restrictions within the State of Wisconsin.
  • Possession of “X-Waiver” to treat patients through Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic and professional backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communications skills with other providers, patients, co-workers, and stakeholders.
  • Compassionate as a healthcare provider to individuals suffering from mental illness and addiction.

Responsibilities:

  • Examines patients, including discussing medical history and symptoms and performing physicals.
    Works with a team of certified medical assistants, therapists and doctors to provide quality patient care.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans.
  • Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Documents and codes all patient contact accurately and legibly in the electronic health record.
  • Makes referrals for secondary and tertiary care.
  • Performs medical procedures according to privileges issued.
  • May be asked to perform other duties that align with HealthNet’s mission, including but not limited to participation on clinical committees such as the Board’s QA/QI Committee or local health-based committees.
  • Other duties requested by the CEO or Medical Clinic Manager

Hours Scheduled: 24 hours per week

Compensation:

  • Wage: $58.64 – $65.67 per hour

Reports to: Behavioral Health Clinic Manager

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field from accredited university that that leads to LCSW or LFMT licensure.
  • The employee shall meet the requirements of the Wisconsin Board of Social Work; and be licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor restrictions within the State of Wisconsin.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic and professional backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communications skills with other providers, patients, co-workers, and stakeholders.
  • Compassionate as a healthcare provider to individuals suffering from mental illness and addiction.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients’ needs and determine their appropriateness for the services of and referrals to appropriate community resources for clients deemed not appropriate for or in need of additional services.
  • Provide crisis counseling and/or on-going therapy to clients.
  • Develop and facilitate groups.
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients during individual visits, as appropriate and as needed.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans collaboratively with all clients.
  • Document client case notes, assessments and other clinical documentation in client database daily.
  • Assist patients with complex illnesses to work with the Case Manager or Services Navigator for case management and coordination of services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community services and resources to facilitate referrals and coordination of services for clients, coordinate with on staff case manager as needed.
  • Provide training and supervision to counseling interns as needed.
  • Provide consultation for staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Maintain and keep current and confidential all client files.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Behavioral Health Clinic Manager.

 

Hours Scheduled: 40 hours per week

Compensation:

  • Wage: $31.77 – $37.30 per hour

  13. Other duties as assigned by the Behavioral Health Clinic Manager or the CEO.
